Most practitioners know that speed and strength live on opposite ends of a spectrum. Fewer know how to locate an athlete on that spectrum and build a program that systematically closes the gap.

This calculator maps your athlete’s force-velocity profile, classifies them as force-dominant or velocity-dominant, and generates a block-by-block training prescription based on that classification. For return-to-play athletes, Rehab Mode provides a velocity-gated progression built around one principle: you earn the right to train speed by first demonstrating force.

Assessment without prescription is just data collection. This tool closes that gap.


How to Use the Calculator

  1. Enter athlete info and bodyweight on the Dashboard tab
  2. Select Performance Mode or Rehab Mode
  3. Enter CMJ mean velocity on the Dashboard
  4. Log each test load and recorded velocity on the Load-Velocity Profile tab
  5. Read the API score and Gorilla/Kangaroo classification -> it populates automatically
  6. Go to Programming Prescription, select your block and week, and hand the athlete a session
