Adam Loiacono has over a decade of experience providing top-tier rehabilitation and performance training to professional athletes. His career includes reaching the NBA Finals with the Phoenix Suns in 2021 and the MLS Cup with the New England Revolution in 2014. Adam is a distinguished member of an elite group of physical therapists, holding the prestigious board certification as a Sports Clinical Specialist (SCS) through the American Physical Therapy Association—a credential achieved by only 10% of physical therapists in the United States. He is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach through the National Strength & Conditioning Association.

Adam’s expertise has been recognized by notable media outlets such as Forbes.com, Arizona’s CW7 television network, and the world-renowned PhysioNetwork.com, among others.

Professional journey

Adam began his professional sports career with the New England Revolution of Major League Soccer, serving as both a fitness coach and youth academy soccer coach for eight seasons. He then joined the Orlando Pride in the National Women’s Soccer League in a similar fitness coach role. Transitioning to the medical side of professional sports, Adam spent two seasons with the Atlanta Hawks in the NBA as a performance therapist. Following his tenure in Atlanta, Adam was promoted to Director of Performance & Rehabilitation for the Phoenix Suns, where he served for five seasons.

Current endeavors

Adam is the owner of Loiacono Performance Therapy in Scottsdale, AZ. His extensive experience and knowledge in both the medical and performance sectors enable him to seamlessly integrate concepts from sports science, rehabilitation, fitness, strength training, physical therapy, and orthopedic medicine. Adam’s approach is deeply rooted in research, utilizing injury risk data and longevity studies to establish standards for strength, endurance, movement, speed, and body composition. He leverages advanced technology, such as force plates and velocity-based training, to customize and measure the progress of every athlete’s rehab or training plan, ensuring tangible results.

Podcast & Personal Life

Adam is also the founder and host of the “Finding Small Wins” podcast, which delves into the world of sports through insightful conversations with industry experts and athletes. The podcast aims to help everyday athletes enhance their health and performance. Within just six months of its launch, “Finding Small Wins” was featured in So Scottsdale magazine as one of the top “Voices in The Valley.”

Adam resides in Scottsdale, AZ, where he continues to impact the field of sports rehabilitation and performance training.
