PHYSICAL THERAPISTS | ATHLETIC TRAINERS | CHIROPRACTORS | PERFORMANCE COACHES

Upgrade your knowledge & skills to be a more impactful performance Therapist.

This 3-month mentorship will improve your confidence and accelerate your ability to be more effective at providing high performance care for your athletes.

Performance Therapy is unclear

Being effective at managing the grey space between medical models and performance models is challenging. Then add the layer of chaos that is team sports and being effective is even more challenging. This complex grey space is Performance Therapy.

Traditional continuing education courses provide a framework for movement & physical therapy or emphasize a training paradigm to improve performance. But they the lack the integration that is Performance Therapy. Opportunities are limited to learn from an educator who has worked in professional team sports long enough to understand the real world dynamics and chaos of team sports.

We know with athletes that the medical, movement, physical therapy, and performance training are all integrated. But it is hard to find a reliable resource to guide performance and medical providers to integrate these disciplines.

That is until now. The Performance Therapy Mentorship will upgrade your abilities to be a more effective Performance Therapist. The Mentorship will upgrade your ability to manage the gray space between medical and performance while balancing the chaos of team sports.

Adam is model example of what defines a high performance practitioner. His unique ability to operate along the rehab-performance continuum is one of the best I have come across.  More impressive is his ability to genuinely connect with people while providing world class services in a detailed yet practical way.

Who am I?

My name is Adam Loiacono and I have worked in professional team sports for over 15 years. I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) and performance coach who is board certified Sports Clinical Specialist (SCS) and Certified Strength & Conditioning Coach (CSCS).

Since 2009, I have been working in professional team sports providing top-tier rehabilitation and performance training to professional athletes and professional youth academy players. I’ve been fortunate enough to enjoy some successes when reaching the NBA Finals with the Phoenix Suns in 2021 and the MLS Cup with the New England Revolution in 2014.

I began my professional sports career with the New England Revolution of Major League Soccer, serving as both a fitness coach and youth academy soccer coach for eight seasons. Then I joined the Orlando Pride in the National Women’s Soccer League in a similar fitness coach & sports scientist role. Transitioning to the medical side of professional sports, I spent two seasons with the Atlanta Hawks in the NBA as a performance therapist. Following my time in Atlanta, I was promoted to Director of Performance & Rehabilitation for the Phoenix Suns.

is the mentorship right for you?

There are several Performance Therapists who have and continue to be successful with no support from me. They have invested years of their career to get to where they are without me!

But this mentorship will save you time and accelerate your career. I get countless inquiries from coaches, athletic trainers, physical therapists, or chiropractors who are asking for help to manage the gray space between performance, medical, and return to play.

  • How do I integrate the performance with the rehab?
  • When should I progress return to play or clear an athlete?
  • I struggle to find continuing education that is relatable to team sports, do you know of any reliable resources?

If any of these questions have crossed your mind, then the Mentorship is right for you.

You’re the best physical therapist I know. Not just because your professionalism, but because you truly care. Not only in our time in New England, but no matter where I was in the world, I could always call on you. You were there to help me, to guide me, and to make me better.

Will the mentorship Work for Me?

The Mentorship is a commitment. For 3 months you will need to watch videos, read research, submit quizzes, and participate in mentorship calls. You can expect to:

  • Check your current and previous biases – new material will demand that from you.
  • Embrace learning new concepts – topics may not traditionally exist in the health or performance industries.
  • Commit time, energy, and effort – stack learning each week to upgrade yourself.

If you can do those things, then yes, the Mentorship will work for you. That being said, the Mentorship is NOT:

  • Passive time listening to recordings – your active participation and effort is required to be successful within the mentorship.
  • Move at your own pace – each week new lessons will be provided and your weekly mentorship call will reflect the new material.
  • An independent mission – you will be supported by me and your peers to support you throughout your learning.

Adam created my off-season program with a player first mentality. He built it around what I loved to do and who I was as a person. It was the first time in my career I was treated as a person first then an athlete. Adam went above and beyond to get to know his athletes as people and ultimately learn how to bring out the best in them.
